Funnily enough, I spoke to TFM on the phone a few hours ago. I asked him what he thought about the current situation at our beloved football club, to which he replied, 'Beware the bearded tyranny, for he damns the eyes of all who call him... Ma... Ma... Major.' He then made a strange gurgling sound before hanging up.

 

Does he still say 17th of July for the take-over?

I gather the latest theory about the take-over hold up is that Roland Duchatelet may not actually be Charlton's legitimate owner (in a strictyly legal sense) because the papers he signed to take ownership from Jiminez and Slater might have been 'dodgy' in some way that RD's lawyers did not notice.

If true, that is a rather major embarrassment for all concerned. If Duchatelet bought the Club from its previous 'wide boy' owners but the deeds are not legally correct in some way, then I imagine a lot of lawyers are going to be able to line their pockets sorting the whole thing out.

And this is as good a guess as any for the seemingly endless delay in the take-over being completed.

 

No way would Roland employ an incompetent lawyer.

 

I saw this headline this morning and got quite excited.

Then realised it was referring to Mr Personality in tennis.

 

I understand the issues still to be resolved are pre Jiminez/Slater.

One of the reasons why Murray is clinging on like grim death. There's a lot more behind the departures of Varney and Kavanagh than has ever been released.

 

Maybe the title to this thread should be changed to Does Roland even own the Club?

 

Perhaps the prick has lost about 50 mill but it's only worth £50!

 

That would put an end to the Roland Out songs.

The bit about Charlton raised a smile or two when I read it, mostly because of its view of English fans from the Hungarian perspective.
But flowery imagery aside, this piece is not very kind about Mr Duchatelet and his way of doing things.
