Pavard just scored the goal of the tournament. Di Maria now doesn’t even have the best goal in this game...
That peach of a strike answer your question? What a goal - never heard of Pavard before this WC, but he seems to be a hell of a player, capped off by that goal.
Thoroughly deserved that goal did Mbappe. Messi’s body language stinks. He is a sublime player but seems to be a bit of an introvert, not really a leader. Here comes Aguerro.
Mbappe seems like a nice kid too, he's donated all of his wages ( About £17,000 + bonuses per match ) to a disabled children's charity. He doesn't believe he should get paid to represent his country.
Sometimes these knockout games can be a bit cagey, but not today. Sampaoli seems to have lost the plot at this tournament but his teams always attack, a disciple of Bielsa, the genius who created 3-3-3-1 and that great Chile team, who is now, bizarrely, manager of Leeds, despite speaking no English. This is going to do France’s confidence no end of good. But they have to play the miserable ****ers of Uruguay or Portugal next....though this isn’t finished yet.......
Combination of old legs and open warfare with their coach. They've looked a poor side and now even Messi misses a chance.
France have looked very good. But they have let 3 goals in. Kicking off now. And could very easily have conceded at the death.
Great game. Mbappe is some player. Feel (not a lot mind) for Messi as he hasn't scored in a knock out stage of the World Cup and you always believe that a player with his ability would score. Maybe Aguero and Messi up front together may have been more effective. Pogba - if that is the Pogba that Mourihno wants to play every week in for Manure I feel he may go shopping in France FInally - with my ability (seemingly) of being able to pick potential winners and see them get knocked out (Sorry (999's for picking Germany),(I had Agentina at work) and now I am going to predict Brazil
