Saw video of Moi's arrival at Staplewood and when he was put through his paces by the medical team. Seems pleasant and likes a laugh. Got to meet the rest of the team, including Clasie (forgot all about him). Gabbi was lurking behind some equipment and watching....suspect he too may be a joker on the quiet. Longer version available....but only appears after watching McCarthy's interview on the OS.
Found this quote from Moi on Saints Web ''It's no secret that they've been following me for a long time. They have followed since I scored my first hat trick for Sarpsborg in 2012. In the Adeccoliga. Then I was 17 years old. They know me almost better than I know myself. - I told them (the club's scouts) that it was a little creepy. You've "stalked" me for six years now, joked the 23-year-old.
No, he’s not flexing the muscles like Tadic does at every opportunity. Mind you, if he points his thumbs to his back when he scores, I will want a DNA test done.
He can point to his crotch if he scores goals as far as I'm concerned. I'll take player scoring for Saints every day. I'll not get worried about his celebration.
Well of course- but the suggestion was that he looks a bit Tadic-escue. I was merely observing that unlike Tadic, he is not flaunting the old six-pack at every opportunity.
I suspect you signed on similar time to me.....my recollection is that they accepted virtually all medical conditions then.
Medical around January 1959............there was some cuts going on at the time and it seemed they were looking for any excuse to not allow me to start my Naval career. The medical was particularly stringent.........As was the entrance exam......incidentally I was too young for call up. I'm hearing rumours the UK is considering the same as France for compulsory call up for military service? Anyone else heard this?
Yes I heard some suggestions that it was being mooted. I don't believe it will go anywhere though........what do I know though!
I used to think about a career in the army. Bit too old now though. When I was an unemployed new grad I went in asking if they wanted to sign me up. They didn’t really know what to do with me, dithered and off I went. Should have bitten my arm off, dumb lot at the Southampton office
Recruitment now contracted out to Capita, for a fee of £44m per annum, for 10 years. Last I read we were 5000 short of where we want the army to be, so money for old rope, for Capita, and a chance you might get in this time.
