    Joke thief <grr>

To the OP, yes I went. I was the oldest person there - ie the only person not in their teens.

NLS - have you turned yourself and your mate into the Old Bill yet for handling stolen goods?

    I went...in 1991.

And 92 or was it 90 and 91?
Saw The Cramps, Sisters of Mercy and Iggy Pop and had my first trip there.

    What bands did you see?

Festivals? Pfft. What's wrong with just going out, getting pissed and coming home the next day? Why do people feel the need to be so hedonistic to go and get blasted for several days on the row? It's no wonder this countries such a mess.

Agreed, I don't really understand the appeal of festivals, especially in the UK.
I'm as rough as **** when I wake up in my own bed after a night on the lash the last thing I want is to wake up in a tent in a muddy field with the dawning realisation that I've still got 2 more days of this ****e to go.

I'd much rather spend £150 on 5/6 gigs by bands I actually like where they'll play a full set and I can drink till my hearts content safe in the knowledge that I have a bed to go to and I won't get pneumonia. Then afterwards I can go to the pub, go home or, if I want the festival experience, sleep in a bus stop.

Just last week I went to see the National, got pretty plastered and ended up having a shag out the back (without a tent). :1980_boogie_down:

I think we were clocked by the neighbour as their landing light went off mid rumpy pumpy, couldn't look him in the eye when I took the bin out in the morning! <laugh>

It's too late for that, I could have done with that advice a couple of years ago. We do seem to over egg the pudding every time we get a night off these days, hence the antics.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't a ****ing clue which hole I was in, all of them I think!! If I was sober enough to notice minor details like that I most definitely would not have been humping in my backgarden.

Tommy / Jip - you're missing out by not going to festivals. Of course I appreciate that at conventional gigs you're also able to buy piss masquerading as lager for £5 a pint, but surely half the fun of any musical event has to be having a 50% chance of getting dysentery?

Even though this is a joke. My mate did infact get his house raided, but escaped charges as he gave details on who he brought it off.
