Thank you Medro for a proper reply. I agree with you that the infrastructure is sorely lacking here in the West compared with around Belfast and there are US companies operating here but more needs to be done if we are going to develop our economy. I work for Allstate who are a US company and the people I deal with on a daily basis have the greatest praise for the workforce in the Strabane, Derry and Belfast offices. It is the infrastructure in parts of the country and the corporation tax rate in the Republic compared with here that are major factors that are holdong us back as we need to be competitive with a country with which we share a land border.
I know what you mean. Although I still think our history plays a part in companies wanting to invest here.
I want to disagree but sadly I can't. There is still a perception from the outside that we are still embroiled in a campaign of violence even though most of us have moved on and focus on the more important issues.
