1990 was the last World Cup I really felt involved with, it's much harder for people to relate to the pampered players of today. Even if they somehow did better and got to the final it wouldn't be the same.
I think it would take me less than an hour with the data they’ve used to come up with that bollocks to completely discredit it.
So basically, if kicking was banned, then the games would be speeded up? Altercations is a bit miserly, should think of a strategy to increase that.
Bit of a pointless stat being based on the total time. Surely the important stat is how long per delay.
Partly true...a 30 second delay at the time when everyone is in the middle of celebrating a goal is far worse than a 60 second delay for an injury when there's nothing exciting happening (for example)
1990 was the last one not completely in the grasping mitts of the marketing ****s of FIFA. None of the games I attended were full, not even the semi final in Torino. One was not half full, but still had a rocking atmosphere. I was in Chicago just before the start of WC94 and took a stroll down to Soldier Field to be confronted by some septic cop with a gun advising me to walk away. Went round to the other side and a similar incident occurred. Most games in WC94 were full, unlike Italia 90, and FIFA cashed in. That's when we lost the WC.
To tell honestly so far it's the best world cup i've seen personally (watching since 1986). Also it's probably and sadly last normal world cup before the winter in one city Qatar-2022 and tripple-48 USA/Canada/Mexico-2026.
I bloody hope not. Altho it would make it easier for people confusing Sweden and Switzeland with each other.
i do hope sweden go through but i just have a feeling switzerland will beat you and then beat colombia in the quarters beat colombia in the quarters beat colombia in the quarters beat colombia in the quarters beat colombia in the quarters

Request for the banning of Brady from all WC threads. Scotland aren't here so his inclusion is pointless.
