Bookmarked. Not a chance. Southgate has managed the tournament brilliantly and when the first eleven return we will win 3-0
It’s going to look even more extraordinary next Tuesday night when Rodrigues (Real Madrid) and Falcao rip us a new arsehole. Then The Beard will be “building for Qatar 22”
Terrible management from Southgate. We should have put out the strongest eleven and tonked Belgium, thus sending out a message that we fear no one, including Brazil. Kane could have added to his tally and sealed his reputation as the striker to fear. Instead, we limped over the line with a turgid display and a needless defeat. A hugely disappointing evening.
What’s the difference between the England football team and the Labour Party The football team managed to lose Momentum

If last night proved anything, it’s that our reserves are nowhere near good enough. Alexander Arnold, Rose, Jones, Cahill, Dier, Delph, Vardy - you cannot win a World Cup with players like this. There must be question marks about Pickford now as well. How many of this starting 11 would get into the best England side of the last 30 years ? Sir Bobby’s at Italia 90 ? I think maybe one - Harry Kane, and even then he would be up against Lineker who was at the top of his game. Southgate was the “anyone but Allardyce” appointment but his shortcomings were laid bare last night.
I still feel that European clubs have an edge when it's played in Europe. England have a chance of beating Colombia but Sweden will be very hard.
