http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14716748.stm I'd assume every other Chelsea fan would reject this move completely but let's face facts - Drog and Torres are going to be first choice no matter what, if he goes to Stoke on loan, he gets Europa football, first team PL football and some great experience in a team moving forward in terms of success. I actually think it would be a good thing if I'm honest!
Do you not think he'd progress a lot faster? Come next season Drogba will be past it and he'll be a fully experienced PL striker with Europa League experience on his belt too!
If he were to go I'd prefer him at Wigan or Bolton to be honest. They have a proven record of nurturing young talent and bringing them through. Wigan in particular try to play football the right way so if he were to go I'd want him there
SSN just stated he cant go out on loan in the same transfer windowhe was signed in, but didnt Courtois do that just a few weeks ago unless its where we didnt register him just signed him but we have registered Lukaku
I'm praying that this is not true. From what I saw of him on Saturday he could really push Torres and Drogba for a starting place. He's bigger, stronger and faster than Drogba and he was brushing off Norwich players with ease and came close to scoring on a couple of occasions in what was a short cameo.
Like JC said, it isn't posible untill January, i think Lukakus already ready for the premier league after what i saw on saturday, no need for a loan, i still think AVB should of let Josh go on loan, i think josh is already ready to step up but if we do get modric and maybe meireles i just can't see him getting the games this season and i don't see why he should be on the bench instead of getting first-team football elsewhere, for example i would of loved to have seen him come on as a sub vs norwich instead of putting anelka on who done absouletely nothing
I think Lukaku (a lifelong Chelsea fan) said he had no interest in joining us and going out on loan. He's happy if necessary to warm the bench if required. So Stoke can dream on
Premier League rules say you cant loan to another P.L club in the same window as when purchased. Wouldn't rule our Lukuku loan deal in Jan but with A.C.N this year, maybe not. As said above, Lukaku looks ready already so I'm sure he'll get some game time.
I'd keep Anelka as back up for Sturridge Stoke have failed in the loan bid now anyway, people were right about the rules.
I know history but he didn't do much else and always seems to look disinterested, anelkas actually one of the premier leagues fastest players but i've never seen him use it, and like i said before on a different thread having Malouda,Anelka,Kalou,Drogba,Torres,Lukaku,Sturridge and Mata all fighting for 3 places will cause a lot of friction, mainly with Malouda and Kalou because if they aren't playing you can bet your house there be the ones whinging and moaning and bringing the dressing room down hence why i really want them to go, Anelkas only about one thing really and that's money, his penalties are ridiculous and stupid as well and i'd just much rather see a player playing that wants to be playing for us not someone that couldn't give a f**k, but onwards and upwards and we're see what happens today and tomorrow, looking forward to having sturridge back now as well, him and mata give us two great players on the left and right side of the attack with pace that can wreak havoc on defences and both have a finishing touch which we've been lacking, much prefer them 2 to malouda and kalou/anelka.
No way Pedro. AVB has shown his intentions by blooding the lad early, he surely will be high in the pecking order for a start along with Sturridge. I hope.
