An interersting read on the arseblob site.... But no new revelations, there are rumours of shadowy figures behind the scenes @ the Emirates making Mr Wenger's life difficult....... I think the Board and Arsene are just as culpable in equal measure with the mess we find ourselves!

but this talk if different, we're used to random websites/papers saying "arsenal are in a sensational 50 million swoop for rory delap, maradonna and the first person to turn up"

Not BBC etc saying we've basically signed 2+ players, in advanced talks with someone etc etc

This is complete bull ! Many of you have been defending Wenger saying transfers take a while, in the meantime we see other clubs go about the business of buying players with minimal fuss. Now we need players the club are pulling their finger out and trying to buy players.

Smoke and mirrors, this club say one thing and do another. All of a sudden Wenger's claims that transfers take a long time is being proved to be nonsense.

The club are taking Arsenal fans for fools !!! The team have been found out and are way below standard, all this penny pinching and corner cutting has put us in a bad situation.

I also said we had circa £80m to spend and many claimed Wenger didn't have money to spend. All of a sudden the board have alleged to say Wenger has £70m to spend. Of course he does .. he ALWAYS DID .. he just wanted to continue his conquest with unknown kids to prove he is right.

Looks as if Arsene has at last heeded the fans and seems about to sign Santos and Mertesaker.

It's a shame it needed an 8-2 thrashing but better late than never.

If he also gets the south korean (subject to visas of course!!!!) we may begin to look like a decent side again.

But why oh why has it taken so long?:emoticon-0103-cool:

    Mertesacker der Esel?

He won't be enough to make Arsenal solid.

Another proven Premier League Centre Half required, Cahill, Jagielka or Shawcross would do it

Keeper and Defensive Midfielder a must too

Mertesacker and Vermaelen, great combination there. Djourou and Koscielny in 4th and 3rd choice respectively. Squillaci; in regards to giving him a squad place? I wouldn't give him the sweat off the back of my ballbag.

Liverpool outcast Joe Cole is on the verge of joining Lille on a season-long loan, paving the way for Arsenal to make their £26million move for Eden Hazard.

The Gunners are still in need of a creative midfielder after the departures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, and Lille’s 20-year-old Belgian perfectly fits the bill.

The French side have previously insisted Hazard would not be sold to Arsenal after Gervinho left for the Emirates, and the clubs relationship has been further strained by the acrimony surrounding Park Chu-Young’s transfer.

But now, Reds reject Cole is headed to Lille to undergo a medical after Liverpool agreed to cut him loose, and speculation is mounting the skilful 29-year-old may be being brought in to cover Hazard’s departure.

It always takes longer when you don't really want to buy.

These players are better than what we currently have though. The chinese guy has to be more effective than chamakh, Santos would be an upgrade on Clichy and Mertesacker is supposed to be alright. Werder Bremen's defence were **** last year though!
