S'land Echo says another 3 weeks at least due to his back and hamstring niggles. Just hope Munty hits the ground running :undecided:

Thank christ we got Sulley in is all i can say.

I'd sooner we left Catts out to get fully fit now we have an alternative, rushing him, and Meyler , back in the past has just caused us more grief.

Muntari will do a sterling job mate, knows the league, the Arfican lads are natural athletes.

Sad to hear about Catts - hope he recovers faster than that - must really chew the life of players when they cannot play the game they love

Bruce must have been aware for some time about that then, prompting him to spend on midfielders

What is it with us and injuries?
I know they hit every club but we seem to get more than our fair share, never just for a week or two either.

I'm hoping Catts will have a fight to get his place back because our midfield will be playing so well.

    I agree with this mate.

I think the logical answer is that previously we had a good 'team' and an ok 'squad'.

Now we have a good squad, certain players shouldn't need toplay 90 mins every week, and this should certainly reduce the 'strain' type injuries, which seem to be in the majority here.

Muntari's a good player to have in there, but i have said many times i'm a massive Catts fan, i know he's not flash, but i think the whole teams just ticks along tidier when Catts is in the side.

He's our captain for a reason.

    Hope you're right BruceysBeak.
Just think of the points injuries have cost us over the years.
A strong, big squad is something we haven't really had since we came back up so bright times ahead.

I think it's just logic mate.

Imagine training everyday, then having mad runs like we had over december, 7 or 8 games in 4 weeks, it's the lads that play the most minutes that seem to be worst hit (Mensah excluded!)

Turner, Catts, Bramble, Campbell, all players likey to play a minimum of 70-80mins a game, although that may not be the case now we have options.
