Do you rate him as a wing-back over Rose? You watch him live unlike me so maybe I’m missing something but he looks like a weak link to me and makes us reliant on the other wing, IMO.
I’d rather take our chances with Japan and then maybe Brazil than Colombia and Swiss/Swe anyway. Japan are pony.
Yeah it could be a bit of a joke really but on the other hand we could see a bunch of fringe players busting their gut trying to earn a last 16 place. My money would still be on the former rather than the latter mind but I live in hope lol.
Agree, Colombia are the sort of side who will cause us problems. One game at a time and we'll worry about that after the last 16 game.
Japan beat Columbia though? I’d much rather us swerve Brazil and have a better chance of getting to the SF’s personally.
They beat ten men and had a goal headstart then we’re lucky to draw with Senegal. Didn’t watch their game today but lost to a side with nothing to play for who looked awful twice.
We’re better than both of them, and if you think Columbia are dangerous then what are Brazil? A potential QF against either Sweden or the Swiss would give us an amazing chance of making the last 4.
Bit of a side issue but why does everyone put a ‘u’ in Colombia? Of course they’re all beatable including Brazil who as always are being fapped over for no real reason. Just don’t think it’s worth the risk and sends the wrong message if we play at half pace and lose. If we give it a go and lose anyway it’s no real loss anyway.
Or if we give it a real go and just happen to pick up a few yellows...... I think my predictive text even misspelt it btw lol.
Southgate probably has that in mind with oafs in the team like Jones and Cahill but I still think we genuinely should look to win the game.
