So, everyone handling the ball in the last 10 minutes trying to get more yellows? Designated culprits so they don't accumulate too many?
I can see the last minutes, if its still a drawn game, being a spate of Yellows of both teams. Don't Yellows in the group stage get wiped out come the KO rounds? (as long as it isn't a 2nd in the Tournament).
I seriously don't think Southgate as it in him to tell his team to not win. He'll be to pride about his integrity / honour. Wouldn't put it past Martinez though
No. They get wiped out after the QFs Edit; might be before QFs but certainly isn't before last sixteen
I don't really know, mate - I'm just running with the idea of trying to draw and get more yellows than your opponent without it being blatantly obvious that you're taking the piss.
This one's going to be worse than Japan v Poland in the final 10 mins, instead it's going to be the full 90 mins with the exception for some pointless yellow card offenses.
No problems with changes gives everyone a game But ffs you bunch of pussies, go out to win **** the rest. If have to look at the draw and say oooo we might have to play x then you shouldnt be there !! Surprised at some on here if this was LFC you would be saying bring em on and lets ****ing smash em. Come on england, i want an open free flowing entertaining game no lose for both teams
Southgate and Martinez spouting bare faced lies. No one makes 8 or 9 changes unless they are treating it as a training session and don't care losing.
With 17 changes between them, there will be a lot of players out there that want to make a point and try and force their way into the first team. Might not be as dull as we suspect.
It happens every tournament after teams have won the opening two games, often it's a full eleven changes. Knowing the potential fixtures and tournament route is the only thing different. People are reading too much into it
How do you not make it dull if you don't want to win? Unless they start kicking bits out of each other then maybe...
I don't think either manager will have told them to not lose. But I agree it will be dull, just playing devils advocate tbh
it funny that England did too well v Panama. a boring 3-0 would have meant England could play a credible draw here and take second.
