I know all games are just as important but I cant help feel that the next 4 will give us an idea of where we really stand.

These 4 games are very winnable and if we put together something even remotely successful, say anything from 8 points upwards, then we can begin to look reasonably healthy. If we plunder just a couple then the table doesnt lie and we're in for a tough time.

Hold on to your (Tiger) hats....

We have a good month game wise. I'd say a win at home to Pompey is paramount to show we're putting our bad run of form at home behind us, then anything between 4-9 points is acceptable from the away games. Donny look to be on their knees this season so we should fancy our chaces there and even though we don't have a great record at Bristol they're hardly any great shakes at the moment so we should go there pretty confident. I actually think Peterborough may be the toughest of the 3 after their start, but again we should go there feeling confident. With games against the likes of Cardiff, Brighton, Forest and West Ham to come soon after those 4 games picking up points can taje us into that run of games feeling confident.

We are two points of 7th, and look how bad our start was last year and how close we ended up at times. The start this year if we get 8 from our first four games is just a bonus, i don't doubt through out the season we will pull off a couple of great loans which is NP's standard thing to do. I think two more signings and this season will be a success and i don't think you can say a season is over if we have four poor games, look at how close us and Leicester came last year.

Lets see how your views change after our next loss! I'm not saying I disagree with any of the posts on this thread but it just seems City win and all is Rosy, we lose and its the end of the world!

its been a better start to this season than last season. 2010/11 yealed 5 points from 5 games and so far 2011/12 has yealed 6 points from 5 games. september can really ignite citys season after an OK-ish august. 4 very winnable games in september. i also think NP will bring two great rabbits (loan signings) out of the hat.

Lets be honest amongst most of us i think it was never that bad, we knew if we could get a win against Reading wouldn't be that poor start to the season and hopefully if we can get a few more points in next few games it would be a good one.

Four straight wins should be considered a possibility, but with our inconsistency you never know, we could even get four straight losses!

i would like to think that at least 3 wins out of the next 4 games are well within the teams capabilities. would not surprise me to see them win the 3 away games.

Not sure I agree that the next 4 will shape our season, I think in this League at any point in the season a 4 game run of wins or losses can totally reshape where you are in the league and provide a different outlook for the rest of the season.

If we take no points from the next 4 it'll be horrendous, everyone will be pissed off, but that doesn't mean we'll be down at the end of the year, same if we win all 4, doesn't guarantee that we'll be up there at the end ofthe season as a nightmare run is always potentially round the corner.

Basically it's cliche time, we'll take it one game at a time and see where we are come May

thats a hard post to argue with. but the thread was based on the next 4 games. i have a rumble in my stomach (and its not wind) thats says a few wins are a coming. dont ask why i just think they will with 3 of the 4 away from home.
