Guys, can I ask that we all make an extra special effort not to rise to the annoyances of Hughs, Kiwi and others? A lot of the threads of late have degenerated into slagging matches, drowning out the content of the thread and it's getting really tedious. Let them make their comment, ignore it then get on with your life and some decent debates about our club. Diolch yn fawr

This is a moderated forum.You can choose to ignore threads if you want.You seem to take everything too seriously and creating threads about threads that annoy you proves my point.

Nah, I agree with MON to an extent, a lot of the potentially interesting discussions are getting rail-roaded by Cardiff fans (well Hughs really) trying to start some "amusing banter" and although we can change settings to ignore posts by people like that, we won't be ignoring the Swans fan's relies so it all gets out of hand.

I for one will just stop replying to his crap, and I hope others will follow suit (shame I just posted a jibe in his direction 20secs ago!) anyway...starting....Now.

Let's just take the high road.

I dont think anyone should be banned unless their an M.P or a morris dancer...but i do agree a good bit of banter can be ruined by bile so ignore and it usually goes away...i'm going away now ta'ra

 

MON, i am with you on this one. I choose this site above others due to what i believed was the ability of people from opposing sides and opposing views from the same team to have a decent dicussion regarding football matters. for the first couple of months that was how it was. but recently i have noticed the dross that is spouted by certain people in an effort to just p*ss people off.
I say lets just ignore the idiot or idiots and get back to good banter and discussions.

The problem is that too many posters resort to insults because they don't possess the ability,be it intelligence,or personality,to indulge in banter,which my
dictionary defines as being "to tease jokingly". No mention of abuse,or insults.

Good banter is great fun,but it's in short supply on this forum,as it was on BBC606.

Unfortunately,the average football fan cannot deal with his team being,as he/she sees it,ridiculed,even by the mildest of comments. Therein lies the problem. Banter is the last thing on most posters minds. Point scoring via abuse and insults,is too attractive,and a great deal easier to indulge in. Good banter requires wit and intellect,the alternatives don't.
