They need to go up, one year in League one is big financial worry and any more than that doesn't bare thinking about. The Championship is probably ok financially for the foreseeable once the big earners are off the books (and many will be this summer) but it is then a rebuilding process to try and attain Premiership status.

I think it's realistic to have them as favourites to go up this season but it's a pipe dream to hope/expect back-to-back promotions. I reckon one year in League One but then at least 2-3 in the Championship beckons so 5 or so years out of the Premiership. The worry is if they don't come up this year, if parachute payments run out and they're not at least in the Championship then rocky times will follow. Interesting though!

 

The banter on the last few pages has been of poor quality chaps

I refer to the banter amongst yourselves. Its embarrassing. Theres like a tinge of anger towards Sunderland. God knows why? I suppose after some of yous leave school yous might look back on threads like this and be embarrassed yourselves.

Is there anyway to stop this thread popping up on my inbox then . I cant help having a peep when it pops up cos sometimes after having trawl through alot of the drivel some of it is worth reading. Dont really want to bother now though. Last few pages have been truly awful.

The club is at an all time low with the fans clinging onto the faint hope for a brighter future and he's still having an angry tirade. Loon!

That's a terrible effort at wumming. I mean kudos for going for all the old classics using words like embarrassing, inserting the still at school references, and mentioning people being angry, but times have moved on and these don't really work any more. I think you need to have a long hard look at your repertoire before returning.

 

I dont and never have wummed, not a fan of it or ripping the piss out of other clubs, even amongst fellow supporters. I'm just stating the fact that i find some of the football banter on this thread 'embarrassing', 'childlike' and at least one poster seemed to be 'angry.' I know that all fans from all clubs can be guilty of this sort of bollocks, the ****e that can be read scattered throughout forums. However the ****e being spewed out here is all confined tightly into the ball that is this thread. And it keeps popping up onto my inbox!!!

Be honest - think both clubs have a right to be angry to a greater or lesser extent.

Ultimately a lot of the "banter" relates to comments dished out during our last relegation when your boys were crawling all over our board.

Bit sad at times, but that's human nature I guess - at least you've got balls to stick your head over the parapet and comment without needing to resort to anything too offensive

 

Well if its not wumming its sheer stupidity then. Nobody is angry. Some dislike Sunderland more than others. However we all have a common interest. Laughing at Sunderland Football Club, particularly in its most vulnerable state. We don't expect Sunderland fans to like it. We fully expect to be told its childish and **** banter. We simply couldn't give a rats ass what they think, because of course they would say all that. It certainly didn't bother them when we were relegated and their banter was garbage. But then I would say it was **** wouldn't I? What goes around comes around unfortunately my friend.

 

Come on! If our situations were reversed you would be indulging in some similar shenanigans. All part and parcel of being a footy fan.. I hope your decline continues for a while yet, cos its funny!

 

Wish somebody could have directed Ken towards the Sunderland board a couple of years ago......or to Bri literally any bad day of the week.
