our manager is great working with cast offs and strays but im not sure rodwell`s fits the bill as a fighter 2 save his career.......unless its a pay as you play contract...........but I hope he doesn't even make our radar tbh taff.

I admit to being surprised by the amount Colin has been allowed to spend.

I'm happy with the signings made but hope we don't over extend ourselves.
It keeps getting published that we've learned from our last visit to the prem but we seem to have spent more.

Wow - 4 year contract as well - that's some committment from both sides.

 

Really good business so far this summer, Grujic plus one more on loan and the squad looks decent.

 

Discussions had with Liverpool and Marko on his way back from Russia.

The Windass one won't go away either.

 

Warnock is not looking very far for his players. All from the championship with none from the PL or abroad. He said 5-6 players I think if no major exits. Has he finished yet? Like to see a right back and central midfielder even if Gunner stays.

 

Remote - I thnk that's just a sign of the times and the ways things have gone. Five years ago when we were in the Prem, we were "guaranteed" around £62M for the season (without parachute payments) - this time it's going to be approx £100M. Ridiculous I know, but there you go.

Proportionately we've actually spent less (so far!) and I'd like to think the cash has been used far more wisely than the dosh that was blown up front on the Caulker/Medel/Cornelius triumverate together with their reported wages.
