There is a bit of consistency here We want £10m for our players and bid £400k for other teams players
It looks as if the Kipre's agent or team have leaked the bid info to bring in other bidders to bump up the fee. Plenty of clubs won't mind paying £1m for a 21yr good prospect. Looks a good athlete and big unit, he would fit into virtually any EFL side.
Agents always do this and always will, sometimes it's of their own back but sometimes it's with the blessing of the club (although they will never admit it) once the club are resigned to losing they player they will do what they can to get the most money and the agent will do the same for himself. I've just asked a scout I know up in Scotland and apparently we have improved the bid today but still over staged payments. His club are willing to sell but want the money upfront rather than spread over the 3yrs we have currently offered. Player happy to move and has made it clear he wants to
Seen him a few Times now...he would be suspended for most of the season in england. Hes an idiot. Nearly cost a rangers player his career too...ryan jack think it was. But better than nothing lol.
Motherwell have slapped a £1m valuation on Cedric Kipre in an attempt to stave off Hull City’s interest in the central defender. City launched their bid for Kipre this week with an opening offer that was immediately rejected by the SPL club. The Mail understands that was in the region of £250,000 with add-ons but Motherwell have made it clear they want to bank a seven-figure sum for their fans’ favourite.
He was born in France. But plays for Ivory Coast. Maybe he does things in an African way but with a Gallic shrug of the shoulders.
I wonder when the Hull City website will update the squad profiles or are they to embarrassed too. Surprised it would only take the IT team a couple of minutes.
We've spent four seasons in the top division out of the last 114, the rest we've bounced up and down mainly from the old third to the old second division, that is my point. We have no divine right to anything.
My point is we have spent more time in the lower leagues then the top one, a lot more. Maybe the old division three was a bit of an exaggeration but the principle is the same. Look at our history before the KC. Third division Champions in 1965/66, FA Cup 6th round. Football League Cup 4th rd. We were still using the same tin of brasso bought after Carter was sacked on the contents of the trophy cabinet on the last day at Boothferry Park v Darlington.
Not sure what you are on about. Didn't say we had a divine right to anything. In any event take away the KC years, and the fact still remains. We've spent more time as a Division 2 side not 3.
We were mostly in division 2 and three weren’t we? Which is the equivalent of the Championship and League 1.
