I think you should, rest him and give Vardy some game time. Personal goals shouldn't get in the way of team progress.
Personal goals are irrelevant to my thinking. He's our talisman and we're set up to play to his strengths. Like I say, momentum counts for a lot in these tournaments and it would be good to see us up against a better quality opponent even if they do rest a few. Who's on a yellow card? I'd probably rest them. Still think Roy's biggest mistake at the Euros was making all the changes for the Slovenia game.
@The Liebherr Legacy Skybet not offering odds on cards by the look of things, the corrupt ****s. No money on the Betfair markets yet.
Haven't used skybet since their site crashed on me during the FA Cup final in 2012. 365 are doing them I think.
This game might suit Vardy, as Belgium may push up and leave a bit of space for him to exploit. On the other hand they may not be arsed. Am I the only one who'd be perfectly content with a 0-0?
A cruise round in third gear would be fine I reckon. Be nice not to lose, even nicer to win, but no point going **** or bust at this stage. I'm with you on the wholesale changes though, nothing to be gained from doing that. France and Denmark got a few boos at the end yesterday, not sure what the neutrals expected?
I want to see us bring on Pope in the last minute as a striker purely to break Hazard’s stupid little legs and go off laughing like a maniac and see us finish second on fair play. He’ll then be knighted after we beat a lacklustre Belgium in the final.
All this Hazard hate is a West London thing, right? Great player. World class diver too, but fuxakes, who isn't in the modern game?
Kane has to play...so that he can keep on trying to score. This is not a pre season game where everyone needs minutes. Vardy and co can have the last 20 minutes...i suppose. As for avoiding Germany, I was of that thinking a few days ago but then Tel nudged me and said...'Naah let's beat the Germans ourselves'...I goes I get what you mean. Plus if we beat Belgium or at least not lose then people can stop having a pop at the team for 'only' beating the Tunisians and Panama.
It's definitely time to give Rashford (or Vardy) a run ahead of Sterling. I'd try Dier also, but instead of walker at centre half. Everything else keep as was, would be stupid to piss about with the side too much. I can only assume the calls for Rose to be included, the one who not long ago was derided for being a fat ****, because he's left footed? Why drop Young otherwise?
