Ok. If the PPs are paying down debt then the club can afford to pay a full squad’s worth of proper Champ wages. Do you think we are doing that?
It would be nice if we had a balanced first team line up. We haven’t - we’ll be in league 1 season after this. The overall quality of the squad looks pretty dreadful. It’s made up largely of a number of players that have absolutely no endurance to play 40 + games. That will be the expectation with our paper thin squad. Campbell, Evandro, Mazuch, Keane, McDonald, Kingsley are all injury prone and we have absolutely no back up. It’s a disaster in the making.
The majority of Millwalls players are on decent money as they didn't spend large sums of money so could afford the wages. Their left back is on nearly double what Tymon was offered by City.... But of course City offer great wages hence why they all let their contracts run down and bugger offer on a free. Great risk free strategy by Ehab. Oh wait... Its a stupid strategy. Imagine if he had some common sense and tied down Hernandez, Maguire, Robbo, Clucas to contracts for 5 years. Yes it cost him what 10k extra each a week? But made him millions in fees. But Ehab has a great risk free strategy. Best run club in the league? Bugger off. Not even the best run club on Yorkshire.
whats Campbell on? Less than last season? Dicko? Toral? The higher earners, Dawson greegsy have gone. We won't be paying them wages no .
They wouldn't sign them. You realise that don't you, surely. And you know what Tymon was offered and what millwall pay? How?
You just make thing up don't you. They also have a lower wage bill than most other Championship clubs (19th or 20th in the division on estimates), have the third lowest average attendance in the division and have far lower revenues too. This is a small club that continually runs at a loss, a League One club by every measure other than current performance. Accounting for all that, and given that they finished 27 points behind Sheffield United (currently ninth in the Championship) and 13 points behind Bolton (currently 21st) in League One last season, this is a monumental achievement from Harris and his players. What’s more, Millwall’s success has come through a playing style very different to those around them. Harris is acutely aware that Millwall have a direct, physical approach that the supporters enjoy because it works. After all, he’s seen more games here as a player and manager than many of them. Millwall rank 21st in the league for possession and 23rd for passes completed. Rather than try and alter the club’s direct style in a higher division, Harris has finetuned it and made it so effective that teams struggle to counteract the strategy despite it being no secret.
So if Ehab is waiting for the parachute payments? Why not the sell club for that value? Then it’s a debt free club? What’s he waiting for?
Nothing I say is made up.. .Why would I make something up on an online forum? It's hardly like I'm a prolific poster of Bull ****. I just try and point out the Allams continued failings from a business point of view. I agree with you on Harris and think their results are exceptional, I saw them three times last year and their strategy worked all three times.
Feel free to actually show me? What season is this for? What is their squad size? What is the average wage per player? Is this taking into account new contracts signed last season? What data are you using? What accounting period do they follow as its unlikely to be for a football season for example. There are so many variables...
That literally makes no sense.... As you showed me nothing and I presented quite substantial and reasonable questions. Logic seems lost on some people. Anyway, let's not derail this thread as I moan about that all the time . If I am wrong I am wrong, I won't lose any sleep over being wrong on a Hull City forum. Let's all look forward to the Allams investing correctly based on the substantial parachute payments we are receiving.
Ehab’s biggest single failing (when it comes to players) has been his inability to have our very best players on longer contracts and therefore worth more when we sell them. He has lost £20m + through his way of doing things. It makes no difference to Hull Tigers though, as any extra cash he’d have made would not have been reinvested in the team.
That's what I also don't understand. Unless he's hanging on to get best price he can for the likes of Bowen and Grosicki? 64 million dollar question? #24hours What do others think?
As I said before he's on a good thing, all his meals, cars, fuel, holidays going through the books, anything can be justified, not that it has to be, living the good life without spending his (or daddy's) own money, I did think he was waiting for the parachute money, then maybe some player instalment payments but now I'm beginning to think why would he give this up even when he has his money back, yeah he gets a bit of headache off the fans or paper but he doesn't seem too bothered about that, OH MY GOD WERE ****ING ****ED ! ****S !! (wasn't that dramatic)
