Struggling to decide if I like the idea or not. If it's handled correctly then it could be a good bonding opportunity with the fans but I'd like to see SD and some others (perhaps some of the players) also getting involved even just as a token effort. If it's just a case of "there's the tools over there lads, get a few hundred seats done" and fans are utilised as cheap labour then I don't like it at all.
Stuart and Charlie have already said they will be there. I'd be there myself if I didn't live so far away :-(
I am mate. Like you I'm looking forward to it opening as it's a long walk to The George and I only live around the corner from it. Look forward to that beer
It was the fans idea wasn't it? Haven't seen many people grumble at the idea. None in fact. I couldn't be arsed personally.
I'm sure that's how it will be done - that's exactly what he described in his first podcast with Roker Report "everyone, players, staff and the fans working together to change the seats" Check it out 45:50
Ah good. I follow Sunderland pretty closely (as you may have noticed) but haven't made time to listen to the podcast. I want to think that SD and CM are going about things the correct way and the early signs are good (I'm not too worried about the McNair sale price as it's one thing in an overall wave of optimism and improved relations). I'm just waiting to see if they can walk the walk after doing some very convincing talking. I think that they can though.
