Anybody really think they will throw Sion out of the competition tomorrow?

Personally I think it will be too much hassle for UEFA to throw them out. Where would we have been seeded in the draw if we'd got through? Will we complain we should have been seeded higher (if thats the case) or accept the draw Sion got?

The 5 players signed by Sion previously went to a Swiss court which sided with the players hence the Swiss FA registering them.........you can bet your house on them appealing the outcome & possible legal action. So what would happen in the meantime with the competition while Sion begin court proceedings?

Is there even a guarentee if they are thrown out we would replace them? Or would it go to the top ranked team who didn't qualify as what happened when Fenebache were chucked out of the CL?

As I said far too many questions for us to think Sion will be chucked out & that we will replace them.

I don't think Celtic will get reinstated to be honest, don't know why just years of supporting Celtic have turned me in to a pessimistic bastard, these things never seem to happen to us. Sion must have been fairly confident of what they were doing to go ahead with playing the guys imo <ok>

    Never seen Blatter was involved!

Rule book says 3-0 default in both legs, but I doubt that, as greenhenky says we never seem to have much good luck!

1984 uefa did the dirty on us with Rapid Vienna , today could be pay back day . Celtic would have to replace Sion by playing the banned players it effected the result

I wouldn't be surprised if all that happens is Sion get fined.

They'll get booted out, if it was a Scots/Irish side that broke the rules, you can bet your last potato that they'd get booted out. Only thing that stops me believing 100% that they'll get booted out is that they are Swiss and the Swiss-stablishment run Yoofa and Feefa and they hate Lennon too, but he asks to be hated imho.

I have a feeling it will come down to the size of the brown envelope Sion will have a big one and lawwell will have a jiffy bag and the contents of his piggy bank.

Why would they let it be known that the meeting is on Tuesday then cancel it the same day?

Did Sion not offer enough cash in a brown envelope and they're waiting for an improved offer?

And I thought the SFA were bad!

Celtic shouldn't have played the second leg after putting in their complaint , now Sion are actually in the draw its going to be very hard to remove them .First match sept 15th with appeals no chance of it going our way now .

I think UEFA have been quite clear that they regard Sion as having absolutely broken the rules, not only broken the rules but brought the courts into a Football decision - something which they despise, and they have made perfectly clear will not tolerate. I think they are going to make an example of them, if they don't it opens up a big can of worms.

Whether or not that example includes letting Celtic back in is another thing.

The BBC saying no final decision today, as the decision today will be appealed and after that will go to the sporting court of arbitration - so next week until the final outcome is definately known, enough time to get us ready for Europa League action...

I don't want to see us in this league. Sure some more good nights in terms of attendance, and it will bge good for the bank balance. However, we will get gubbed in our matches and I would prefer we concentrate on ensuring Rangers don't do 4IAR. Six mid-week matches with the potential for injuries, and we are not at our best in the next league match after a European game.

Naw, forget Europe, we were not good enough to beat SION, let's concentrate all of our playing energy on winning the SPL.

Our average squad age is about 24 and is about to get younger, how are the players ever going to progress when they are tested by a ten man St Mirren defence every weekend?

We need to test ourselves against higher quality teams for our players to mature into better footballers.
