I know it's early days for the new regime but interested to see what your thoughts are for the new season? Going to stick my neck out and predict we will go up via the play offs. So, let me have it...finish top, mid table or another relegation tainted season?
Would be more than happy to get up via the playoffs but impossible to guess while not knowing how many of last years rubbish we'll be left with and who replaces those who go elsewhere, and even then don't know most of the players we are linked with so go into the season in hope in our new management and confident they will give us a competitive team rather than any knowledge based presumption of success.
Whatever we do, I predict our emotions will be stretched both ways . This is us , we don’t usually do it any other way .
I honestly have no idea . I still wouldn't have any idea once all our transfer business has been done.
It's going to be difficult for Ross to get the players to gel so quickly but I think the longer the season goes on the stronger we will be come. Just need that momentum and get the crowd on our side. Starting to win our home games...I know that sounds simple right...would be a huge step forward.
On what basis could we make a prediction when we have no idea what the squad is going to look like, who's staying, who's going, how many are coming in, going out. The new boss said he's taking a bunch of lads on tour (to Portugal?) but may have a completely different set of players come the first game of the season. Its an insane situation for him to be in. Can't imagine why he's so excited about it
These new owners seem as though they have got their sh*t together.....or least have an interest. Having interest has got to be worth 10 points this season right....lol?
Really this is just based on gut instinct. Surely our fall has be to reversed sometime. New owners, new players and new hope, enthusiasm for the fans will count for something. Yes, as always still got to clear the crap out....Rodwells etc but I feel we have people at the club now that's on it and we are not slowly traveling into the abyss like the last two seasons.....come on give me a prediction? Win the league by Christmas....lol?
I'd be happy to see the ship steadied and for us to start winning our home games, then let's see where it takes us. There's such a huge amount of change going on, on and off the pitch, so it's a big ask to expect the team to hit the ground running from day one of the season. I think there's a danger that some of our fan base believe we have a God given right to go straight back up because we're the biggest club in league 1.... ......which we don't.
Ok mate. No promotion this year. Not with a brand new squad of players who don't know each other. Champions the following season with further investment.
If we get the bulk of new players in at least 4 weeks before the season begins I think we will get promoted. If we end up leaving it until the last moment and then get about 9-10 players in I think we will start badly and have too much to do to catch the leaders. We will finish strong and will be promoted the next season.
Then you'd be hundreds of miles south west of where you need to be mate. She's a Swiss wag! Don't know which one though. She is a beauty though ain't she
The key factor here is our quickly can they gel as I mentioned earlier....my thought enough over 46 games to get us into the play offs and up from there but wouldn't argue against your logic mate....haway the lads!!!
If we don't go up automatically it represents catastrophic failure on the part of the club. It is an easy league to get out of on our budget(as barely anybody acutally buys players in this league).
