i would disagree, i think there is alot more money in football that needs to be spent on other areas that people dont realise and i've said it from the off. If this was a lovely yorkshire man who had supported leeds his whole life, there would be no issue but its not its a man from london who is very raw to say the least.

We paid 875,000 just in agents' fees alone, this is ofcourse without wages of new players, transfer fees of new players. This is also without the general running of the club, the improvement of elland road (which did need to happen, it may have been timed rather badly though) Youth academy has also been getting alot more attention last year or 2.

Whether you agree with the areas he spends on is another issue but he is not making easy money from leeds. I reckon he pockets a very minuscule amount compared to running the club, a general wage if you will

Grayson picked up all of O'Neill's bad traits without picking up any good ones.

It's not lack of experience that makes Grayson poor, he'll be just as bad when he's 50. Gus Poyet has less experience than Grayson.

He's meant to be a business man, but yet he cost the club in a silly court case and he also wasted the chance to buy T.A for 6 million and save 500,000 in rent, now it'll cost a lot more to buy back. Although I realise that we don't want to go back to the Ridsdale days if he had invested in a couple of players during last Jans transfer window we might have got promoted or at least got a play-off spot.

yes i know, i am surprised we didnt get TA back but maybe the money was just too hard to scrape i dont know. I think a quality signing or 2 woulda been enough to get us promoted. I was well gutted with that and dissapointed with bates. But everyone seems to think he just takes millions out of the club and it is obvious to me that that isnt the case. It is being spent at leeds united just not in the form that fans want and maybe it just isnt easy enough.

I agree with you. I don't know if the money is there or not. But something IMO is wrong. The average fan couldn't give a flying one regarding the hospitality side of things. Although if the renovations bring in money on non-match days then fair enough. But(and I may well be proved wrong) I don't think Bates is doing it for the love of Leeds United, I think he's just feeding his massive ego and maybe his bank balance.

I think what he is doing is for a challenge. He doesnt care too much about leeds but he sees it as im going to spend this much to buy leeds and try to get them back into the prem without spending a mssive sum of money, every bit that comes from the club gets spent on the club. Improving all different areas. Thats how i see it, he just isnt spending enough on the team

Martin "Ken Bates is a footballing cretin" O'Neill?

Just face it, we'd look to get someone on the cheap and it would probably be John Sheridan or some other ex-Leeds lower league sort who's cheap and cheerful and would appease the fans. That's a reason in itself why Grayson should stay, even if you think he's doing a poor job of managing (which I don't).
