Didn't even know Musa played for you guys until the pundits mentioned it. He certainly is a quality player I wonder if Leicester is a poor fit for him and would thrive in a other team.
In a word - yes. Maybe a different league would suit him better as well, but he might still be able to make it in the Premier League in the right team. He clearly has the speed and ability to go past players - and we don't have many (any?) in our team that have been able to do that over the past couple of seasons - but he got very little game time in a post title winning side that really fell apart and was constantly being changed on and off the field. I'd love the guy to be given a chance here and do well but, bearing in mind all the time he has been on loan, it is probably best for him that he moves on and doesn't waste any more time out of his playing career here.
Yes. He did his job. Seems like he returned with mental troubles, but after some matches he got fitness and confidence. He scored 7 goals in 16 matches. Some goals were very important and wonderful too. He helped us to reach 1/4 of Euroleague and to get silver CL ticket.
Totally agreed about importance of team tactics for Musa. He can't score by his head or win aerial balls, but he has other useful qualities like speed, speed and speed. He shines if properly used.
And another shocking England performance by him. You'd think that he would try and make an impact, but absolutely no movement or attempt to get on the ball. He looks totally overawed and uncomfortable in an England shirt. Danny Welbeck would have been a better replacement.
I wouldn’t read too much into it. By the time he came on we seem to have settled and showed no intent. I see what you mean that he didn’t particularly look to make things happen but such was the way the game had gone by then. It’s a pleasant surprise to have matched Belgiums goal difference, I didn’t think that’d be the case after their big win yesterday. It was a great first half from an attacking point of view although went off the boil in the last half an hour. Very positive result. We will still need to be more consistent with our performances against better opposition and tighten up in defence
Love how Kane scores two penalties and another he knew nothing about yet getting 9/10 ratings for his performance. Its a funny game. Maguire very good again.. Interesting tactics from Panama in those early corners, only ever going to end up badly for them.
Not having a go at Kane but other then scoring 2 penos and getting hit by the ball You wouldnt have known he was playing But to do **** all and score a hat trick I doubt he would care or anyone else does
Modern day Gary Linekar then FYI he is leading the race for the golden boot https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...andings-top-scorers-for-russia-2018-world-cup 5 goals was enough to win the golden boot and he has that after just 2 games.
I doubt Kane needs to be rested, he doesn't run around enough, keep him in against Belgium and see if we can at least come home with the golden boot. If he wins it, maybe Madrid come in for him and get him out of the prem, or he goes all out to win the golden boot and injures himself for 6 months. Either way, its win win for other premier league teams .
He signed a new contract a few weeks ago. He isnt going anywhere unless he fancies another go at making a loan move work here
He is doing what always does. Tippy tappy passes and not doing much else He needs to start showing alot more ambition in his play. Nowhere near the class of Drinkwater who always tried to make things happen and actually passed to ball forwards I think Silva and Iborra just slow us down too much and dont offer enough creativity. If we got a decent offer then I would let 1 go preferably Silva
You are being too harsh - Silva is being a team player for Portugal and is doing the water carrying. For us he was playing the same role as Puel played with Ndidi being the creative one of the pair. Drinkwater was good 3 seasons ago - his last season with us he was worse then useless as he couldn't even make those tippy tappy passes you dislike without them going to the opposition and is no surprise he is a benchwarmer for Chelsea.
He is miles too safe and doesnt try to make things happen. He just knocks the ball arounr with 10 yard passes. Last year Mahrez was the only creative outlet we have and I fear we will be heavily relying on Maddison next season unless we get some more creativity in centre midfield
Tbf you are blaming the wrong person as Silva's role last season was to knock the ball 10 yards to the attacking players while staying back and keeping the shape - is the equivalent of blaming Kante for not being more creative when he was with us. The player you should be angry at is Ndidi as he was the one that was pushing up more when those two are together. Will be interesting if that roles still stays the same - seen somewhere that Ndidi had the most missed shots in the Premier League or something like that.
