This is a fantastic answer for me. He won't judge anyone elses work. Also interesting to here that we have 15 players too many '
Phil Hay@PhilHayYEP Bielsa asked, by the man from Bilbao, whether he prefers Don Revie or Brian Clough. "I prefer beautiful football rather than pragmatic football." Take from that what you will. #lufc
Would be better if you gave the whole quote though Ell, as that one line in itself I don't have much of an issue with The final question for Bielsa is one asking him whose style he preferred: Don Revie's or Brian Clough's? Marvellous. And the Argentine replies... "In terms of winning the right way, I prefer to lose rather than cheat or play tricks. "I prefer beautiful football rather than over-pragmatic football. Playing well brings you closer to winning things. "I don't think we can claim that playing badly is a way that achieves victory. However ignoring the last question and answer, I will admit that for someone who has cast doubts over the appointment, it was an interesting press conference, lasted 1 hour 20 minutes, he talks a good game ( or at least his interpreter does ), so I guess we will have to see where the next step leads
From what I've read about the press conference it seems to have been everything we could hope for. Could it be that at last we have a leader? Good luck Marcello my fears have gone and been replaced by confidence.
Having followed our new leaders presser I have to say I like his style No rash promises, but want's us to play attractive football (yes please) Wants to cut a lot of deadwood out of the squad(yes please) Personally I think we should give the guy time to settle in before shooting bullets at him. I have more confidence in the club than I have for many a long year. For a promising season Mr Bielsa please don't let me down, because other wise I can be a right S*D
So the press conference went well I wouldn't like to be one of the 15 so 4 or 5 newbies are expected in and I would say it will KO shortly
I like the blunt honesty of his replies. Think any player that is a bit of a shrinking violet isn't going to enjoy his management. Also did you see his response to players coming in? Along the lines of Victor Orta makes suggestions and I add my opinion on the player, if we reach agreement then the process starts from there. Much more clarity than 'ask Victor' from TC all the time. This could still go badly wrong of course.
Who is that then. Must one of those plastics that will only go a handful of times at most. The sensible will hope for the best while fearing the worst.
If we have 15 too many, and 4 or 5 are coming in, that means he'll have to get rid of 19 or 20 to make his maths correct, lol.
Going from the tapes he watched, who’s the 15 too many and what positions are going to be replaced? Can’t count Lasogga as he was on loan, my 15 Felix Lonergan Anita Cooper De Bock O’Kane Sacko Murphy Grot Roofe Ekuban Cibicki Dallas? Phillips? Klich? Bottom line is, Bielsa is saying the majority of Ortas past signings were unneeded or not good enough. 4 Replacements, Keeper, Defender, Striker, Attacking Midfielder We’re not going to get rid of 15 before the season starts so some will have a chance to prove him wrong still.
