Hopefully Southgate replaces the feckless Sterling for future games.

    Brilliant for Lingard's goal.

Must admit - he's been prolific. Two tap ins, two penalties and being hit by RLT's shot. And he's twice the size of Muller. Hope the streak continues against a proper team.

Both penalties were superb and the last minute header was anything but a tap in.

Agreed. The placement was perfect. However the distance was only a couple of feet and we would all have jumped on him from a great height if he'd put it the wrong side of the post. The fact remains neither Panama nor Tunisia can really be considered world class teams. Trust you agree with that at least.

Based on what I’ve seen so far there aren’t any world class teams in this tournament, though some might mature as they play more, and I doubt that Tunisia and Panama are amongst them.

Be interesting to see how competitive the game against Belgium is, possibly won’t tell us much more about either team if a lot of players are rested.

    It’s getting really interesting.

Cracking start by Poland v Columbia - the Poles are really up for this, hope they don't burn out to early

It’s feisty, Colombia definitely up for it. It is pretty much loser goes home, while the winner has a one game shoot out for the next round.

Yep, we would have been on his back if he'd put it wide. A lot of players, in that situation would have played safe and just made sure it was on target, in which case it may well have been saved or blocked. Kane aimed it just inside the near post after twisting his neck to get the power. I really believe it was a much better finish than many think.
I agree that Panama were very poor, although Tunisia are 21 in the world.
I absolutely agree that England haven't played a good side yet, although some of us have seen the beginnings of a good footballing style for a while now.
This England team is young, exciting and full of energy and pace whilst being coached by a very impressive coach.
I fully expect them to come unstuck at some point, but I know good football when I see it and I do expect them to be one of the favourites for the next Euros.

Looks like it. When Lewandowski is so completely out of the game, it’s time to give up. 45 minutes to prove they want it. Somehow, I can’t see them replicating Germany.
