Strange game, didn't really play all that well, but the finishing and runs into the box was very good. Certainly can play better, but against a dirty, physical side who to be fair didn't give up, Job done
Loved Kane's third. If he fell in a river, he'd come out with his pockets full of fish with luck like that! A wee bit disappointing not to keep a clean sheet but the number of chances created and the finishing was encouraging. Although I'm coming to the realization that it's doubtful that Sterling could score in a knocking shop.
I know its only Panama. I know we have only played two matches. I know everyone seems to hate Sterling despite 38 PL games showing he is good. I know we clearly played the wrong 11. Dreamland indeed! I'm the opposite mate those songs mean a massive amount to me and years of painful England support. So much optimism for so little joy. But we tried and those songs play out the optermist in my over rhe decades. (espeically 96 and 90) And like the Ginger step child who keeps getting slapped down I'm here again still dreaming.....

In previous world cups we have struggled against Trinidad & Tobago, Paraguay, Ecuador, Slovenia, Algeria and Costa Rica. This England team are ruthless. The two things that have impressed me are game management and the fact England seem to have a proper pattern of play.
I've always said that England will play better against the better teams. Still I'd be surprised (but delighted) if we got passed the Last 16.
