The song is a masterpiece, and despite some misconceptions, Glasgow is a very modern city, not some BNP racist, homophobic backwater, probably the only city in Britain where multiculturalism has not been a complete disaster. When Africans and Asians come here a lot of them take to our culture, we dont have the whole black rapper gangster culture like in England with white people trying to sound black etc, maybe if you guys were a bit cooler they would integrate better. But we still dont take ****e off anycunt and are hard as ****, another reason we dont have that black gang problem.
He wasnt event first choice at Celtic any more, form completely tailed off after contract issue, id be surprised if he was in the same class as Ward Prowse for all that Ward Prowse has been a major disappointment from his early potential.
That's ok, we'll have him for a couple of seasons then sell him to Liverpool for 6 times what we paid to you for him...
I thought your "culture" was men in skirts, howling gales and horizontal rain from September to March, and a diet of alcohol and lard?
No, not with this one, I can assure you hes not that class so you can forget about that right now. Hell do a job for you but you are his level, he wasnt considered good enough for us to improve in the Champions League. Unlike Wanyama and Van Dijk who took a step down to take a step up, Armstrong is taking a step down to fill his bank while he can, sure playing in a stronger league wouldnt have mattered much to him if Celtic offered him 40k a week but he was only worth 20k to us. We got him for 1.5m, a good 6 months and a good profit. Celtic have 4 players left in that potential category. Tierney, Dembele, Ntcham and Edouard.
It is, and for some reason they love it. Wind and rain is my favourite weather, anything else and I cant function properly.
Just dawned on me from seeing Beddy's post that seeing people talking about Armstrong all the time is going to take some getting used to. It put me on edge already!
Yeah Glasgow is not living in the past with its' historical and deeply divided religious sectarianism at all, they accept and integrate African and Asians but can't tolerate each other's beliefs.
When we were playing 4-2-3-1, we had a bunch of box-to-box midfielder types despite a formation with no MC’s. And never enough wingers. We were throwing Rodriguez and Long out there. We hired Puel, and finally had a formation that could take advantage of our MC’s....and then we signed two wingers. Boufal didn’t play and we tried Redmond at striker which did not work out. Now we are once again awash with MC types. I am not sure Armstrong is better than JWP, and I am already not sure where JWP fits in. By no means do I want Hughes to be picking actual players to Gergen as transfers. Please God, just no. But I hope we are at least coordinating with him as to his formations and positional needs.
It wouldn't be summer without weeping and gnashing of teeth. It's a rite of passage before we get down to slagging off the manager in August.
