All the drama this weekend and I completely forgot to talk about the Carling Cup tie. I'm personally delighted we have drawn Fulham because we've had some good games with you guys down the years plus not far for either team to travel and being all-Prem tie should give the game a more competitive edge. Over the last 2 seasons or so this competition has provided plenty of excitement and is a good stage for youngsters to break through.

    Thoughts?

Given our Europa League commitments and squad sizi, I expect this to be an opportunity for some of our youngsters. So it might be your second team vs our second team.

I agree, it isn't much of a priority for either, but Fulham will give it a go.

No I want us to play our strongest team to knock one of the top 4 out of the competition and help us or others progress to the Final.
It should also give any players we get in, a game to gel together a bit more.
And might also give us something to smile about, for at least to 2 months.:emoticon-0116-evilg

I would also like us to have a fairly strong team as well, we need to show we are taking this competition seriously and Fulham are a decent Premier League outfit, I would like to see a team like this.

    -----------------------------Cech----------------------------------

    -----Bosingwa------------Alex---------Chabolah------------------PVA

    ---------------Lampard-------------Mikel----------McEachran

    ----------Sturridge-----------Lukaku---------------Anelka

    Cech
    Bos, Ivan, Terry, Pva
    Oriol
    Mceachran, lampard
    Sturridge, lukaku, Anelka

Hope to see Oriol make an appearance here, I believe he's a class act.

I think AVB may have bigger plans for Romeu. I can see him being a regular unless Mikel's performances improve.

    Ginge <ok>

He was great towards the end of last season and started this season well but didn't have the best of games against WBA and Norwich, but with all that has been going on in his personal life in the last few weeks I can't fault him for effort <ok>
