We were told to back it each way at 50/1 as it had been working terrifically at home and would not be out of the first three. The owners backed it at 50/1, 40/1 and 33/1 so they did their money too.

I watched the race and it will need to find a very weak middle-of-the-week NH Flat race to be winning anytime soon; and it won’t be 50/1 so I won’t be waiting. Most of the rest of the field were debutants too, so I am not buying a six year old running green.

I' mm sure your disappointment is real, but it' s an animal on its first proper outing, sure it won't be a notebook job, but finding the right race is the trainers art, but best forgetting this one

Had a great night at hq last night.winners were a bit thin on the ground but managed to back dancerteria with fran berry doing the business. Went to warren hill this morning to watch the horses on the gallops. We saw the godolphin armies and had a chat with one of the head lads. Saw Hugo palmers string and Micheal bells string but most entertaining was seeing William haggas dishing out an almighty bollocking to one of his lasses.he wasn’t in a very good mood but I managed to share some morning pleasantries with him although reluctant on his part. But overall everyone was friendly and willing to have a chat.
