It is why there is some solace on not getting promoted. Playing in the Championship is far more rewarding as a supporter for entertainment. It almost seems pointless to get promoted and hope that you can avoid relegation for the next 5 years. The EPL is too lopsided and something needs to be done as soon as possible.

I agree german football is the best to watch , end to end stuff , stands packed creating great atmosphere .Unlike. Epl games at Villa , Blackburn and Wigan played in front of thousands of empty seats at the weekend . At no stage did I compare Celtic and Rangers to Madrid and Barcelona , I was comparing results , it is not healthy for the Spanish league on the first day of season winning 5-0 , 6-0 and look at who was missing from their teams.
The problem with the EPL is that in the EPL structure and the EPL clubs there are some English people. It is the nature of English people, especially in the company of foreigners, to lose all sense and reason. This is clearly shown by the extravagant wages they to players from any corner of the earth at the expense of some of their own young players. They are as we speak scouring the world to bring in 12 to 15 year old players and although it is clearly illegal payig them £2,000-£5,000 per week. This is often paid to a parent for cleaning the windscreen of the Chairman's car to get around the illegality of paying someone under 17. They have inflated and destroyed the whole football ethics, resulting in all smaller leagues having to complete for a far lower skilled player. When I started following Celtic first although the English clubs were wealthier than the Scottish there were very many of the best players in Britain still playing in Scotland. Now they have destroyed us and many other leagues and themselves. Despite the mountains of money going into every club via tv etc. at least half the EPL teams are in danger of bankruptcy. One other thing is England any closer to bringing home the World Cup ? No!! they only got 1 vote despite all their illegal canvassing and promises.
I carried on reading and had to laugh, he talks about English football ruining their youngsters, when anytime a young scotman gets noticed he's immediatly bought by Celtic or Rangers and generally left in the reserves and have their careers ruined, unless they take a bus trip to England. And you can't blame England for the state of European football, the blame lies with General Francisco Franco and Real Madrid.
have you any idea of just how sad and pathetic you come across on here? i think you may find that it was ithe italians that really started the ball rolling with huge transfer fees and wages in the late 80s and early nineties. but of course that was different wasnt it? i mean they had the best league in the world and that was ok, coz it wasnt England, thats right isnt it? weather you like it or not, the EPL is a very well watched and very well respected league.. just coz youre a bitter jock with a huge chip on your shoulder who probably hates all things English, well thats your problem bud. the EPL is argueably the best league in the world, the SPL never has been and never will be,England have lifted the world cup, Scotland never have and never will, oh and i bet at least one EPL team will make it to the semis of the CL this season. SPL teams cannot even qualify for the europa league. how does that grab ya?
