I woke up this morning in a bath tub. That sounds like the first line in a really bad Blues song.

I know what you’re thinking. The cockneys took a few vital organs and left me for dead in a tub full of ice. There was no ice though.

I’d like to point out that the hotel I was staying in has the world’s smallest bathtubs. You could bathe a dwarf in it and they’d be moaning that it was a tad small. Let’s look past the minute bathtub though and continue with this post.

So, from organ thieving to the match report…

The vital organs of this squad were stolen by cockneys. I bet the squad could metaphorically wake up this morning in a bath tub full of ice and find crude stitching on their torsos. From cockneys…

    They were woeful last night.

Woeful is an exaggeration. A polite one though. Since I was standing next to a 7 year old lad last night I’m being respectful with my language.

If Nolan is the heart of the squad then we can claim after last night that the team is in a morgue.

Dead on arrival under the pseudonym; John Doe.

No-one is coming forth to claim the corpse.

Missing organs, sore and cramped legs, aching head and tired.

    Yep.

    I watched the Toon again.

We never looked threatening going forward and looked solid at the back. 10 points are required from 14 games and even though I’m sure that we’ll attain them; it’s going to be a long hard run in.

I’m off to get aspirin and a shower in a can safe in knowledge that we’re not a woeful as other teams starting with a W.

Cheers once again to Leazes for putting me up when beer became a priority over getting home.

Nice to finally meet up with Rokk and Beardo.

I'll face the wife tonight and her ire.

    She hates football.

Always a good night out with Leazes :)

God I reek of stale beer and the boss keeps sniffing as he walks past me.

All I can do is give a sheepish smile and drink coffee.

The support was great, faded near the end due to a lack of inspiration from the football. The bars were ****ing packed, got to 8 Bells and the line was out the door so ended up in The Kings Head with a few jugs of Heineken. Was a good night, football was woeful & the future even more so.

I managed to get into the 8 Bells early enough to get to the bar.

Leazes showed up and we headed towards the Kings Arms but it was packed so we went to the other one; The Temperance.

Managed to get one drink in there...
