Sterling doesnt work in the england team set up but id still give him a game or two but young offers very little bar crossing and i have to admit his deluveries were good, so in going to just see the pluses. We can do well
I also think we can do well. That was a tough game. Not seen anything particular wow from any Of The other sides yet and I thought we played well overall.
We were excellent in the first half...well at creating chances that is. Lingard and Sterling were the main culprits.

The way we came out of the traps today was unreal. It's the exact reason I watch football, that relentless attack, an enjoyment of football. We scored too early and the old ''three lions on a ****rt' went pretty quick but collectively we held out hope until the end. I've bashed Kane in the lad up to the world cup, but you can't beat that performance. He can get you a goal in the ****test circumstances, and has proven his ability to do it late all season. Today should have been a dampener but it wasn't, let's see how we can do!!!
I do all the cooking, I like it. She doesn't watch the football, not bothered by it. To be honest as a general rule England are one of my least favourite teams to watch, i usually get less enjoyment from it than other teams. I'll be watching against Panama and Belgium more because I respect the fact that the team are trying their best, even before the winner the team were better than I can recall an England team at a tournament since about '06.
Belgium have great players but are an overrated 'team.' Their problem is Martinez - A guy used to managing scraps. A better manager and they would be contenders.
Enjoyed the first half but thought we lacked any invention in 2nd half and were lucky to get the 2nd goal. Thought Sterling was a complete waste of space and would like to see Rose in for Young. Too often play slows down when it gets to him. Thought Lingard made some great runs behind defence, which you need when Kane is playing as he is not quick, but was woeful in front of goal. Was also expecting a lot more from Walker after a year at Man City - he doesn't seem to have developed at all. Still a brainless defender. Not sure who I would replace Sterling with - the way he played we would be better off playing with 10.
Don't think its Martinez - I think its the players. They were like that in 2014 as well. I also think Belgium should be abolished a s a country and divided between France, Germany and Holland. I cannot see any reason for its existence, apart from Chocolate and strong beer.
