Post World Cup, you could see Real or the likes coming in for Ashford, especially the way Mourinho treats him.

What the **** is wrong with Young, good at dead balls, runs with it, can cross.
I might be biased but I thought Harry M did well, looked good striding forward, won lots of balls up top & back. Never going to be a brilliant performance with nerves etc
I think he could be pushed into a defensive midfield role if necessary.
Lingard & Sterling have plenty of pace, tactically we spent too much time building from the back far too slowly. Which is, for me, what cost us using both of them to more of an advantage.

And Simpson up top. They'd be solid then.

Good come back Chazz. Left me feeling limp though.

Quick get all aggressive again, I need to be stiff again, missus is watching Versailles and will want servicing after the rumply pumply in that.

    Good interview from Southgate.

I'll be honest, as the qualifying campaign has gone on, he has grown on me. I hated the concept of him as England Manager. Now I feel like it could work if he's given the time.

*cue me calling for his head on Sunday night after we lose to Panama*

3 points are packed. Strong will to win is there. BTW Leo was commentator and did brilliant. It's his personal important moment to remember now. Volgograd is his small homeland, there is new stadium, world cup game and he's discussing that match on TV alive.
    Congratulations.

How many get out of jail cards do you get....?
    Out-going: Sterling, Young, Lingard,
    Incoming: Rashford, Rose, Lofus-Cheek...

...Panama will be just as negative.
We'll play better against teams who want to play football, until then it will be like WWF.

Ali and Sterling where poor. Rashford must start. Feel we’d be better with a left footer at LWB. Why have we got no creativity in midfield on the bench?

    Strange game.

Looked very strong until their penalty, then became more and more ponderous as time passed.

Stuck with it and nicked a winner, so fair play.

But once again, an England performance asks more questions than it answers.

Southgate left it too late to hook Sterling and Alli.

No real leadership on the pitch.

    Too many squandered chances.

    Not convinced.

    Yet.
