Ffs, the next thing we'll be seeing is that females should not be attending football matches. Get a grip.
My apologies too FHB if my 'like' of Elf's reply suggested I was being critical of your post. I can see Ryston's point about some panelists on World Cup shows having nothing to offer because they have no knowledge of the mens' game. But the tone of his post read to me as generally disapproving of a woman being on the panel simply because of her gender. If I have read too much into your post Royston then I apologise to you as well.
No problem No problem. Royston loves to have a dig at the BBC, as does AHLL, from time to time, and it was necessary to point out to him that ITV had gone one step further than Auntie.
And to think that not so long ago the World Cup pundits were real experts ....Clough, Jimmy Hill, Jack Charlton, Sir Trevor Brooking. Nowadays all you need is a pair of knockers and be able to kick the ball 10 yards - and not to a team mate either. #gimmickry
Lardi - you are absolutely 100% correct. Women footballers have no place on the World Cup panels, commenting on this World Cup. You can't compare it to tennis, because the likes of Martina and Evert were demonstrably brilliant at their sport. The women's footballers are not, they are palpably sh1te because their bodies/metabolism are not suited to football. Ditto cricket, for that matter. Its a simple fact and it grinds my gears when I see these sporting mediocrities pontificating about how Ronaldo takes free kicks.
Punditry is also entertainment. Pat Nevin is quite good, BigRon was excellent, as was The Doc, WGS not bad. Drones like Danny murphy may as well not be there.
Nope. Meritocracy. You never see male pundits on Sky's coverage of the netball [which I sometimes watch ]
Brilliant win for the Mexicans Up yours, Merkel I bet the Krauts haven't felt this sick since we voted to come out of their corrupt club #brexit is beautiful
