I'm ambivalent about his Watford career.

Looked a lot more committed and decisive for his country than in the majority of appearances for us.

Ighalo looks a little lost for Nigeria up front isolated .

Unimpressive all round. The whole team.

Well three days in and still England haven't dropped a point :emoticon-0142-happy

Sadly today I see two potentially entertaining games but really I do not want to burn 4 hours infront of the screen. So I'll cheer on Mex's team and hope I can drag myself away before the Brazil/Switz game .... but not sure I'll manage it.

Must admit I'm getting more into this competition as it progresses. I know some weren't too excited before the start. What's the general view? Is it better, just OK, or worse than expected?

ps: I think the referees have done a good job so far. Limited number of cards and some good playing advantage.

Layun having a good game for Mexico.

They seem impressive on the break .

  12. Some lovely passing - just a shame he couldn't put one or two of his chances away.

This World Cup is something of a reminder of how far as a club we have come in the last few years. Already the majority of games have featured a past player or one who has had a link to us recently. :emoticon-0100-smile

Well did we like that. Entertaining. Great football. As Watford so often, Mexico sat deep at the end, but with legs aching who could blame them.

Would love to be in Mexico tonight.

    Enjoy it Mex <bubbly><bubbly><bubbly>

Germany won't want to come 2nd in their group - could well face Brazil in the 2nd round but then they have history against them I guess.

Could it be another 7-1 drubbing?

Not if they play like that

Should Brazil come second in their group so they don't meet Germany?

Well I guess you could say that as well...

Could be quite interesting for England as we are likely to face one of these sides in a potentially quarter final.
