If they increase it with better teams then it makes a bit of sense, but there is just to many poor sides there, 3 games in and the only side that would compete outside L1 was Uruguay. to be a proper World Cup you need the best teams there not to many No hopers.
I have to agree, to many poor sides in what should be a celebration of the best sides in the world and it simply isn't.
Then you'd have a World Cup of 8 teams because there's not many countries that can play like that. Why not cut to the chase and only have the top 8 ranked countries in the world playing? What a boring pile of ****e that would be. Try and enjoy all of the different cultures and styles of the teams and fans that the tournament brings to fans ALL around the world. Alternatively you can always flick over and watch Eastenders.
It is not about playing like that it is about being competitive and there are at least 20 sides in Europe who would offer more than some of the dross that is there. By the way what a boring pile of ****e the first 3 games were, no matter how you try and spin it.
OK, we're off again. France have got to win this with ease, haven't they? If Tim Cahill scores he will have have scored in 4 different World Cup finals. The only other players to have done this are Pele, Klose, Seeler and, after last night, Christiano Ronaldo.
Not quite so easy, it never is with France. Australia are not a bad side but not good enough with France edging it 2-1.
Group D is blown wide open as Iceland hold out for a draw with Argentina as Messi misses a penalty to continue his international woe.
