Good Morning Everyone At 00.15 this morning, the news that we have all been waiting for finally arrived! Marcelo Bielsa has agreed to become Leeds Utd next Manager. He has accepted the ER hotseat, and will be earning 2m per year plus bonuses! He will fly to England a week today, ready to take charge of training on the players first day back. At this stage there are more questions than answers:- i) We assume its a one years contact, in case things go horribly wrong! ITS A 2 YEAR CONTRACT, WITH OPTION FOR A THIRD ii) We don't know who the backroom staff are going to be, or how long it will take to get their visa's iii) What becomes of Orta? iv) How much control will Bielsa have? v) What will the budget be? Plenty of questions, very few answers, but one thing for sure, put your seatbelts on folks, its going to be a rocky ride!!!! Who is Leeds top priority in the transfer window? Hernandez Vrdra Bartley Gunn Messi (just kidding? Pick a Manager Grayson or McAllister? and O'Leary or George Graham?
Good morning Matt Bielsa is without doubt a massive upgrade on the previous coaches we've employed. Now he requires the tools to work with to allow him to make Leeds great again. I do think we could be looking in a different direction for players now so none of those may not end up at ER
He is on a 3 year deal, and an Argie friend of mine has stated he will make Leeds great if he is backed and supported by the board,hi
Phil Hay@PhilHayYEP 8h8 hours ago More Leeds/AR will play it down but they're throwing it at promotion this season.
Phil Hay@PhilHayYEP 8h8 hours ago More Easy to underestimate the effort that's gone into the Bielsa deal. For all the criticism of him (much of it deserved) Orta has been in the thick of it from the start.
Good Morning Matt and co from a calm dull Bardsey Well I for one are looking forward to this ride and to the new signings about to come Talk about a mid field player from Sheff Wed they really boobed because they didn't get him to sign a new contract At 21 Sean Clare would be ideal At CB Egan from Brentford a no nonsense CB who would give us good aerial advantage at set plays and finally Harry Wilson to give goals and wing play
Morning all... I felt sure Bielsa wasn’t going to arrive so I’m guessing Orta has agreed to relinquish some of the transfers over to Bielsa which is what I would have wanted. I just hope we don’t upset him and he walks out on us like he did at Lazio. I’m still on the fence about his ability but feeling excited now at the transfers we might see. If we did bring in the likes of Vydra and Hernandez I don’t think we need worry too much about the coach as those type of players are top quality when it comes to the Championship. Bielsa likes the high tempo, high pressure game, does this spell the end for Pablo, Saiz and Alioski as a combination? Interesting few days ahead in the transfer market.
Morning all. Late in and rushing away but agree 100% with the analysis of Elland, 64 and Ristacs. Love it when theres a positive Leeds day, they are so few lately. Anyway, chat you lot later
It would appear that he has signed a 3 year deal on £2m a year roughly the amount Steve Bruce wasted a week at Villa .He has been told they must sell £50m of alent will he stay or will he go that is the question I think that the owner was wanting us to take him and pay compensation .Once bitten and all that Still awaiting Glory's take on all this Grayson others were poor
A very good morning to you all. Can it finally be true or am i not awake yet (please let it be the former) Wow when does the season start i can't wait,as it's gonna be a team we won't recognise,no more of those sh** HALF HEARTED PERFORMANCES,can you imagine Bielsa's reaction to anyone who dosn't give their all,Ohhh yess everyone, buckle up the Leeds united juggernaut is moving out to the fast lane. oh & yes and i nearly forgot with all that excitement. Hernandez & vidra, more than ever now,as with this possible new attacking formation,we will be going for the jugular.and were gonna need quality finishers. and as for previous managers i would go for Grayson (as this was the last time we had a side worth watching) & O'Leary just reminds me of the good times that are coming back.
Morning all. Well, it looks as if he is coming. He seems to be a passionate and volatile man and I believe when he sees the love the supporters have for the club he will love this. the first home game will convince him this is where he should be.
Morning fellow Leeds fans and you infadels. All a waiting game, fingers crossed he gets the time and he delivers, anything else is just guess work at the moment.
