There's a possibility this might happen, despite the fact he's 31 - we've reportedly expressed interest in him, and he's said on his twitter that "Negotiating with several teams... news soon."

Surely if it's a choice between Liverpool and Arsenal he'd more inclined to come back to his old club?

How would you feel about him coming back?

    Evening chaps

Have just read we are one of a number of clubs in for Yossi, which also includes Spurs in a deal with Modric going the other way.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14708743.stm

Would anyone take him back? Although we are full of centre mids, we do not however have a lot of players who can outright unlock a defence. Yossi can do this.

    I'm unsure. Thoughts?

    - On a side note does anyone know any new news regarding Bellamy?

He left(so he said)to get more gametime at Chelsea.

Hes spent less time on the pitch and more time on the injury list since he left.

    He's joining Arsenal.
If Arsenal sign him, it proves Wenger really has lost the plot. He is definitely not what Arsenal need at the moment.

    Oh fair one!

I think he could be a useful squad player as he can open up a defence by trickery, which is something the likes of Meireles, Lucas, Adam, and from what i'v seen- Henderson, cannot do.

We have Joe Cole and Maxi who can do that.
Yossi is joining Arsenal, and as I said in my previous post, if Wenger signs him, he has clearly lost the plot, as Arsenal do not need a player like that. They need 4 6 footers 2 centre-backs, a central midfielder and a 6 footer that is a cross between Emile Heskey and Craig Bellamy.

With a bit of luck we can flog Cole to Arsenal or Spurs.

Wouldn prefer Yossi to go abroad if he didin't come back.

Anyone know anything about the Bellemy situation? I'm realy keen for us to sign him.

Have just read on the Daily Telegraph this could be a cash plus player deal in exchange for Meireles.

That would be a disaster imo.

In the 'who do you wish we never sold' thread I said Yossi, and I do feel we could do with another attacking mid with a good cross. He could be very useful.

But! I would prefer someone younger.

Nah I don't think that will happen, I heard a different story that if Mereiles goes to Chelsea, Liverpool want either Salomon Kalou or Daniel Sturridge.

I dont think Meireles will join Chelsea. They will get Modric. Spurs will have to let him go or it will ruin their season before its even started.

I wouldn't mind Yossi back - if the price was right. I don't think he wanted to leave Liverpool but fell out with Rafa and had his heart set on a move when Hodgson came in. I can see him and Suarez linking up beautifully in those games where teams play with 10 men behind the ball and we struggle to break them down.

I hope Meirelles doesn't go, especially now Aqualani has gone. Him and Suarez seemed ot link up well against Arsenal.

Nah I don't think Mereiles is going anywhere now.
The last report I saw on SSN was that Yossi is talking to Arsenal.

Personally, and I know it's controversial - but I'd rather have an on form Yossi than Meireles. Yossi can be absolutely brilliant on his day, and I feel with the players we've got at our disposal now he'd fit right in with our style of play.

When Suarez isn't on the pitch, we don't really have anyone to add some creativity - Yossi would do this for us, and it would allow a Suarez - Kuyt, Carroll - Benayoun swap during the game.
