Probably have to go with that. If Putin stopped invading, assassinating and destabilising, there wouldn't be much to say against Russia. If the Saudi's stopped exporting terrorism, it would still be a loathsome culture

Your not referring to Britain here, are you ? That "1% own 99% of the wealth" thing was never anything but a lie. The top 1% own 21% of the wealth. That's quite a bit, probably too much, but it's a far cry from 99%.
He did say controls rather than owns but the figure bandied around is usually the top 10% control 90% of the wealth which I could believe. Either way given that there's mass inequality in the country, it's almost certainly getting worse and we have relished in exporting arms to anyone who will buy them we really aren't in a position to start morally judging every other country.
Meh. Top 10% owns/controls a bit over half the wealth in Britain and most of the western world. It is showing signs of getting more pronounced. I don't buy the theory that you can't criticise unless your perfect. I am not perfect but I will criticise murderers, thieves and rapists all day long.
