    The fixtures are SOOOOOO fixed!

If we can pick up some points though it would be nice to get them hard games out of the way!

Jesus H Christ! That's a tough start, we could realistically be on 6/7/8 points after 10 games.

Only hope is that City, Chelsea and Arsenal have a slow start to the year and we can nick a few points off them early doors.

On the positive side Rafa usually has a strong finish to the season and we have 2 of the top 6 in the last 13 fixtures (as it stands - barring cups rescheduling etc).

Once Rafa walks into the Spain job and we're left with Ian Holloway, confidence will be something of the dim and distant past.

Swings and round about's isn't it. Everyone plays each other twice regardless. Granted you can say it'll knock the confidence early doors but I'd say we have an easier run in to the season. Sometimes better to catch the big boys early on as they are still gelling with new team mates and styles of play if they've changed manager and aren't quite as sharp or as consistent as they will be after a few games.

Massively tough start though and it'll be interesting to see where we are after 5 games compared to 10 (where I'll start taking note of the table) and then 20 and then 38 games.
