Maybe there should be a joint England/Scotland/Wales/Ireland/Northern Ireland bid. Be like a home nations tournament
So Bielsa has signed a contract with Leeds https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44460259. As much as I don't particularly like Leeds, they should be an interesting team to watch next season. I hope he's watched 'The Damned United'...
Leeds are a big club....a true example of a sleeping giant. There or there abouts, but not quite hitting the button. This could be very interesting indeed. Always hated Leeds when young as they were boring but won every game (or so it seemed), but I have forgiven them for giving me one of my favourite memories by letting us thrash them in our first Championship game in the Leihberr era...televised as well. Hammond's knee slide is permanently seared into my brain.
The same could be said about Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Forest, Derby, WBA, Stoke, and in League 1 Sunderland. Not forgetting the likes of the midtable clubs in the EPL like Everton, Newcastle, West Ham, Wolves. How many sleeping giants are there?
Aberdeen draw Burnley in the opening round of the Europa cup. We`ll soften them up for Saints league opener against them !
