Which is a good thing from where I'm looking...I find it hilarious that people are almost offended at the audacity of Spurs for asking high prices and paying 'average' wages...I think what really hurts is that we still comfortably compete in the top 4 funny ****
To be fair that's about right. I think Leno is a good keeper but the others are bang average. Certainly not top 4 quality... unless your new manager is a top, top coach.
Have you ever seen them play? Lichsteiner is nothing but backup, Sokratis may or may not start every game and is a very useful player (it depends how the manager chooses to use him). Torreira is one of the top rated players in Italy and gives us depth in an area we are crying out for help in. Jury's out on Leno but he was very good and has apparently had a dip in form. Of all of those players, I would be least qualified to talk about the GK.
and Toby for 40 mill tops lol Just watch Levy mind **** United with every minute Toby plays in the WC
I wasn't on about Torreira as he looks decent. I was on about the pic PISKIE posted. Leno is decent. Gelson Martins is ****e, watched him quite a few times as we've been linked before. His agents been whoring him out for years but no-one bites. The old bloke is just an old bloke, pointless signing. The popadum guy I know nothing about, but why buy if you're not improving your first 11? He can't be worse than Mustafi can he?
Or maybe we'll give Shaw a go, which we've been more or less ordered to by outraged press, fans and former managers alike?
Funnily enough, I disagree on Leno, I don't think he is decent, although he used to be.. He needs to regain some form and confidence. Haven't watched enough of Gelson Martins. Can't comment and we haven't signed him yet anyways, despite being linked. The old bloke isn't a pointless signing when you consider we have only one RB. Ainsley Maitland Niles (who would have featured there will now take up his station in midfield). I think Mustafi is on the way out, hence the reason we need a new CB. All that aside, we are not done in the transfer market yet, so the comparisons to Everton last season might want to stop. We have a pretty decent side already which has been chronically underperforming for a while now. We're currently in the middle of addressing the reason why we conceded over 50 goals last season. If other people can't see that, then I dont know.
Ffs I know who he is now. He's gotta be about 30? Why the **** is he buying people heading into retirement? He's the guy that Hummels made look good but it all fell to pieces when Hummels moved
I have to agree with the other boys. Lichsteiner is a nothing signing imo. Won't add anything (maybe personality to the team). Not sure sokratis is an upgrade on mustafi but might fit the team better as you need an enforcer, that which Mustafi isn't. I think you'll do better this year though as Emerys a good manager and the team were hugely underperforming for a stale manager
I suppose he’s better than Bellerin (not hard) so essentially an upgrade but he’s only a short term option.
lol, i think bellerins pretty good but he did lose his way last year. He reminds me of a young kyle walker, came in, has top top speed technically good even though the crossing is very hit and miss. Walker started off well, then dropped a bit and went onto be a top FB even if he does make a mistake now and again. I'd take bellerin at chelsea and i'd have him over trippier personally. A 34 year old wingback to be used as a RB is a nothing signing. Although he could be put on to shore up a game as he is solid.
