Not convinced by Gibson tbh.

 

We are 2/1 favourites which isn't that short odds really, but when looking Bertie is 4/6 to remain next season.

 

Not sure what's going on at Porto but that's six first team players now terminated their contracts, two of which we've linked ourselves with on these threads before in Carvalho and Das Bost.

 

The fans attacked the players at the training ground. I would be putting a cheeky bid into Sporting for Fernandes, Carvalho and Martins but imagine they would have better suitors than us, especially if they are going to be very cheap/free.

 

Sweet, perhaps we can tap up Steve Gibson while we're at it. I like him.

 

Jesus! Imagine that. Anyway, these players are all free agents now by all accounts so Sporting are out of the loop. No doubt agents’ fees will be high but still, a few bargains to be had by the looks of things.

 

Harry Wilson on loan anyone...

 

I'm a Wales fan so have seen a fair bit of Wilson. Great potential but can't say he'd be a difference maker on loan (similar to Tammy Abraham at Swansea maybe - a bit raw to be really effective in the Premier League at the moment and if you are not invested, hard to nurture.)

Would welcome it on a permanent basis as someone who could probably compete now, with immense potential.

 

I heard we are trying to get him on loan for next season from Liverpool. Not sure they will sell him.

 

God, I wouldn't want to make that phone call.

Wreck it Ralph said club have learnt lessons, and will be quicker to move on the transfer in and outs this season, whilst the Echo reports today that the club have just started on the transfer targets, 4 and a half weeks after the last game of the season, and 1 day until the biggest football tournament in the world begins? Not hard to understand the belief in the rumour that season ticket sales are very poor at the moment.

 

People are starting to get annoyed at a lack of signings but have there been too many with other PL clubs? Off the top of my head I can only think of a handful so we are not alone in not going rushing in signing everyone.
