    He scored 22 league goals this season in Spain. Think its harsh to claim he's a massive outside bet.

    Why, we have people who already do that. Pretty sure CV don't have him taking corners either, he is far too good in the area for a manager to waste him like that.

    I don't have a team to play him in, he has been wasted enough in the past without me sitting him on my mantelpiece <ok>

    He is much better off where he is now playing for a team with a good manager and team mates.

    I must admit mate I don't really follow La Liga and only really remember him from his time with you. Who does he play for now and has he been starting a lot of games for Spain or was it just him getting match fitness?

    You're right that you never know though... quite often you get players who struggle to make an impact as a squad player for a big club over here but are a different prospect and excel at international level.

    Arsenal's Joel Campbell for Costa Rica is one that comes to mind.

    He plays for Celta Vigo, he was 4th top scorer in Spain (Messi, Ronaldo & Suarez only players ahead of him).

    He's played 3 games and scored 2 for Spain in 2018, so he must be getting a few games. I'm guessing he won't start over Costa but from what I've seen of Costa for Spain (albeit not watched them properly for a while) it won't be a hard job dislodging him from the team.

    Yeah, agree with that, international football is a whole different ball game. Javier Hernandez, Milan Baros, Carlos Vela etc. all players off the top of my head that didn't quite hit the heights in club football they did in international football.

    Savos Milosevic (sp) at Aston Villa pretty crap here brilliant internatioal record. You could make a case for Welbeck being more effective for England than his clubs.
