Meh, if Klopp thinks he can make something of him then that's ok with me. He's obviously better at this game than I am.
Initial thoughts were wouldn't say no to Shaqiri at the right price when we were getting Fekir as well He's not an alternative to Fekir though so would still be ok with us signing him as long as we're getting someone else instead of Fekir and as well as Shaqiri still
Can’t lose with Shaq. You can’t buy Any international for £12m these days. He’ll be with double that the second he’s signed for someone.
Decent little player. Would add more depth to the attack and would instantly be the best option coming off the bench for one of the front 3. you can’t lose for £12m - would easily make our money back on him if he flops.
Is this transfer window going to turn into a carbon copy of last years? 1) targets identified 2) nice early signing 3) wheels fall off I believe that the injury to Lanzini has affected us, being the plan B (to Fekir), It’s also possible that before Karius decided to clown around in the final, Klopp was also not going to look at keepers - so the keeper stuff may unplanned this summer. Whatever the truth, there is a certain feeling of deja vu for me right now. I hope I very wrong.
Rui Patrício is an interesting case. There some major internal implosion going on at Sporting with 3/4 of the first team handing transfer requests. Patricio is probably good enough to demand 1st team as a transfer condition, but his stature probably doesn’t get him clear cut #1 at Anfield. In the end, if an undisputed better option than Karius isn’t signed, the young German will be #1 next season for sure.
forget shaqirir fee. it's irrelevant. it's all about his character and attitude. will he fit in with the group
Hes a fat little ****er, but a decent player. I just can’t see him being a happy squad player, spending much of his time on the bench. He’s got a massive ego, he could well prove to be troublesome behind the scenes. It’s not the right move for him imo. He’s the type who’ll want and expect to play every week and that won’t happen at Anfield.
You want him don't you Would be a good buy for you though being serious. Price is also a no brainer. Only question mark is ego and personality.
A lot of their players are wanting out after they were attacked by their own fans at the training ground at the end of the season. Can't blame them really, it is one thing for fans to boo, or show their dissatisfaction at a team's performance, but when it comes to physical attacks then why should the players put up with that. Who is to say the fans will not target the players families as the next step to show their displeasure.
"However, reports in France believe Liverpool could still land their man and so.foot.com writes that problematic Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas could yet be persuaded into accepting a deal for Fekir Liverpool were believed to be seeking. They have warned readers “don’t eat the popcorn now, because the saga is just beginning.” Meanwhile, Lyon’s share price plummeted further on Monday, leading to further speculation in the French media that the club’s prized asset could be set to move on in the coming days." - https://www.teamtalk.com/news/french-media-predicts-fresh-twist-in-liverpool-bid-to-sign-nabil-fekir
Yeah the last thing we need is a Munchkin with a gob on.I suppose for 12 mil it's a punt for a squad player.
