Apologies Tonton, just sick of hearing the attendance argument. Bearing in mind the lack of Fulham fans and the time of year, as well as kick off time, it's nothing too severe yet, and I don't think it correlates to fan apathy.

I personally think well sign 4 players, but one is that third choice keeper and the other is Situ, leaving a full back, maybe Santon, and a striker. We should be ok with that team.

    This <ok>

Give it time. Alot of people will be on holidays. And lets not forget, we've just had Leeds & Reading festivals. And, as has been said. There were alot of fans at the festivals.

In fairness you did think Scunthorpe was just east of Manchester.

And 12000 free tickets for people that went to the called off friendly, I thought everyone would have used them yesterday.

Like said above, you had 3 festivals on this weekend in Leeds, Reading and Creamfields.

On another note, some people might not go to the games now as they might have been in Leazes Level 7 and now think the atmosphere is rather tame.

I thought the majority would have been used too, but then it depends, a lot of the Fiorentina crowd were probably ST holders anyway.

People who retained Fiorentina tickets got free admission to a "category C" game, Fulham was the first.

To be fair, with or without level 7 home atmosphere has been ****e for about 8 years.

It's amazing how easy it is to miss good news stories about our administration isn't it. Pay £20 for a friendly, get an hour of footie and a free league game? Bet there's not many clubs would do that.

I didn't go much as a bairn as my damily aren't football mad, so had to wait till I could drive up!

Anyways the only time I thought the atmosphere was great was Arsenal last season, for obvious reasons, but up in Leazes atleast chants were sung mostly constantly. I didn't go to the Fulham game (my mate did) but I did go to Arsenal and thought the atmosphere was terribl.

I'm tempted to go into Leazes again and just buy a junior ticket.

Very true. What people seem to forget is that the 'singing section' was a clever gimmick from Ashley to soften the blow to the old Leazes enders moving to the away corner, aka the worst view in the ground. Home games will never be as noisy as away ones simply because the whole ground isn't full of 16-40 year olds who've been getting tanked up all day. There'll always be older fans who can't stand all game, and rightly so, and there are people who want to talk about what they're watching rather than sing all game. There are still enough fans who'll sing if a chant breaks out, its just the ex L7's are finding out its harder to generate an atmosphere when you're not with all your pissed up mates in the cheap seats in the gods. Not a criticism, just an observation from someone who moved down in the last mass seat move.

  16. What i meant was that it's the same distance south but it's East of manchester.

That's what i meant by "just east", i didn't mean it's only a few miles east, i meant it's no further down than Manchester, just East of it.
