Good Morning Everybody Its going to be a two horse race as far as Managerial candidates are concerned. Marcelo Bielsa we know about - the other candidate is Former Angentina International Matias Almeyda. The 44 year old played as a defensive midfielder for the likes of River Plate, Internazionale, Palma and Lazio, racking up 35 International caps for the South Americans. He recently quit Mexican side Chivas Guadalajara, where he won three titles over his 5 year tenure. He has also managed Riverplate and fellow Argentine outfit Banfield over his 7 year Managerial career. Two weeks ago who would have thought that we'd probably be appointing a well known South American as our next Manager? either appointment will not come cheap. Heckingbottom and Christiensen's combined wage will not come close to what Bielsa or Almeyda will command! According to Phil Hay, Leeds no longer have any intentions of signing Jerry Mbakogu. The Whites have a period of exclusivity with Italian outfit Carpi which runs out on the 30th June. There is certainly no compulsary contract in place. Pick a player Ian Baird or Bobby Davison and John Sheridan or Steve Hodge

Morning Mike, Orta is the guy that got Leeds and Bielsa together. According to many sources, we would not even be speaking to the like of Bielsa and Almeyda if it was not for Orta!

Morning WCD, the only really reliable sources that are ITK are Phil Hay and Lee Sobot. I am connected to over 100 staff/agents/Management for Leeds Utd on LinkedIn but Messrs Hay and Sobot are rarely wrong. Phil has indicated that is it likely to be Bielsa, but Leeds are keeping close tabs on Almeyda.

Morning all. The more I read the more I prefer Almeyda, looks less volatile and more dependable. The manager is probably the most important position at any club, yet we've constantly taken the cheap option, time we got someone with a bit of pedigree then they have to be given time to implement their style and ideas, ie like Wagner was at the ****. . We need better than Jerry. Baird and Shezza
