More worried about what it says about the sort of ambition the incoming owners may have. All pure speculation, but how can there be a 'Charlton' to sell anything if the ownership is about to change hands? Could we be about to see the arrival of the Aussie equivalent of Peter Parsley? Charlie Cobber perhaps?
I agree about Magennis, Ajose too please, but Cawley has also said the take-over happens this week, which seems strange unless the Aussies are agreeing to it on Bowyer's advice. If not, it throws doubt on the "imminence" of the take-over.
Cawley says that Andrew Muir has got a five year plan for Charlton. You can effectively buy your way out of this p1ss poor league with a half decent level of investment.
That's what I can't get my head round. Hope it is all bullsh1t speculation, but sadly everything feels same old, same old...
Salop almost got out of this league with zero investment Sir Chris won this league with less than £1m that he got from selling Jenkinson... one thing they both had in common was a good manager with supporter backing ….. sounds like BowJackson to me
I am sorry to sound like seriously anal but we need to see what happens when the new owners take over.
You would hope that they would move quickly for Ben Amos. He is different class to Dillon Phillips, and signing him would be a statement of intent.
Not going to happen though. I can see him playing for a Championship side. After seeing some of the goalkeepers in the Premiership like Karius he could play there too.
At the beginning of last season there was nothing to choose between them. I haven't seen how Phillips has progressed under Turner, Amos certainly did.
All we have heard about since the season ended is players either being flogged, or not coming back. Da Silva ...Amos....Marshall....Bauer...and today Konsa & Magennis. In many ways it’s a typical Charlton summer. A last min influx of loans & freebies ? #again
Knowing Millwall, it will be shirt buttons Having said that, Amos is in a different class to that clown Archer
