As a Titan's fan it looks like we're going to be getting Hasselbeck in, from the sounds of it seems a perfectly good choice; knowing Locker and being in a good position to hit the ground running.

But I was wondering if there are any Seahawks fans who could give an honest opinion of him? To be honest I never really paid him much attention before and it'd be nice to know how he is througout the season!

I am not a Seahawks fan but from what i have seen of Hasselbeck i think he will be a big improvement for the Titans. Should give Johnson a bit more room to run as well if Hasselbeck can perform decently. He should also bring Locker along quite well but i would expect Hasselbeck to be the QB for the season not like Colt McCoy and Clausen who were forced into starting roles. Btw don't suppose you are interested in joining our fantasy football league below? had hardly any interest!

just joined it, should be good I always struggle to find enough of my friends who want to do a league as well! But that sounds good for us, a year or two of stability won't do any harm, unless Britt can't step up and stay out of jail ha. Be good to see what Locker can do though, hoping he gets some game time towards the end of the season. But I think your right, multi-year deal points to him being a starter for the next couple years at least I guess

^Cheers for that mate :-/, and yeh i would like to see what Locker is capable of, i think he could turn out a good QB given time, but every year teams say they are gonna sit their rookie QB and let him learn and yet they always seem to make it onto the field at some point. And i was hoping to get enough people on here interested but i think people don't bother looking down at this section because nothing much happens! I have some mates that could fill it up like if needs be!

It's a shame that more people don't give the sport a chance! Know too many people who still use the same old cliche's ha, the padding jokes and it's too stop-start etc. all the usuals! I mean starting a rookie can work, Bradford did very well considering, and besides a bad 1st season doesn't mean anything, Peyton wasn't so hot at first really!

Yes i think a lot of my mates don't understand it, but if they learnt the rules i'm sure they would enjoy it. And yeh rookie QB's can work, it might be harder than most years for them though with not being able to train with the team until now. Bradford was great for a rookie IMO. It will be interesting to see how all the rookie QB's get on this year i think quite a few of them will be starting, i.e. Newton.

My wife is gutted over this one, Huge Hasslebeck fan, but she is certain her Seahawks will play on well without him. She also noted they suffered over the past couple of seasons where he'd get injured, and it would throw off the rest of the team.

Injury is a concern the older a player gets but he looks pretty good so far. what you should expect from a veteran I suppose! Pre season form is one thing though, I'm hoping he can be as versatile in the regular season as he has shown so far. Thanks for the replies guys, has been informative!

I have very much been converted into a Hasselbeck fan, I love how he's taken a physical, run-first football team and has made theminto a pass-first unit. Never thought I would see the day!
